The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has received information that the bodies of six disappeared persons have been found in different areas of Balochistan. The bodies had bullet wounds and marks of torture. All the victims were abducted from different areas of Balochistan province. Eye witnesses stated that they were abducted by persons in uniform and plain clothed personnel that allegedly identified themselves as state security officers.
CASE NARRATIVE:
Two bullet riddled bodies of disappeared persons were found in the Murgab area, some 20 km away from Turbat town of Kech district; according to the daily times a leading news paper of Pakistan and local news papers of Balohcistan province. On 23 January 2011 Mr. Abid Saleem, son of Haji Muhammad Saleem along with his friends Nasir Dagarzai, Mehrab Baloch son of Muhammad Umar and Abid Rasool were allegedly abducted from chetkhan area of Panjgur district, when some people came in a number of vehicles and took them. Some of them were wearing Frontier Corps (FC) uniforms and others were dressed in plain clothes. The family members of the victims went to the police station at night but the police refused to file the First Information Report (FIR) and advised the family members of the victims to find them out from the custody of a security agency. The very next day Abid Rasool’s bullet riddled body and Nasir Dagarzai was found in a seriously injured condition in the Gowargo area of Balochistan province. A case was registered against the Frontier Corps (FC) and the state security agency at Panjgur police station. On 24 May 2011 Abid Saleem and Mehrab Baloch bullet riddled bodies were found in the Murgab area, some 20 km away from Turbat town of Kech district. Abid Saleem and Mehrab Baloch were residents of Chetikan area of Panjgur district Balohcistan province.
Mr. Hameed Baloch, a resident of Kudabadan area of Panjgour district went to Quetta for his medical check up and was on the way to his home on 13 December 2010 in a passenger bus when intelligence personnel intercepted the bus at the Sabzaap area of Panjgur district and Mr. Hameed was abducted. According to the newspaper reports, on 24 May 2011 his bullet riddled body was found in the Tehsil Gawargo area of Panjgour district. It is estimated that he had been partially buried three weeks earlier. His body showed signs of severe tortured.
On 23 May two bullet riddled bodies were found from Murgab Turbat district. They were identified as Khalid Baloch and Ahmad Ali. Khalid was abducted one day before from his home Nasir Abad Balochistan province while Ahmad Ali was missing after his abduction one week ago respectively from Mand Balochistan province. Their bodies bore marks of torture and bullet wounds.
Another bullet riddled body was found from Khuzdar district Province Balochistan. On 25 May 2011 Jamal Khan’s bullet riddled body was found in the Khuzdar district. He was a resident of Nokajo Mashkey district Awaran.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Disappearances in Balochistan has become a routine work of Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies. Since last year the law enforcement agencies have introduced a new trend in which they extra judicially kill the disappeared persons so as to ensure that there was no evidence linking the abductions to them. In many cases of disappearances people were abducted in front of their family members, friends and relatives. They were kept in torture cells and were killed extra judicially. Even the victim’s families have recorded their peace full protests for the safe recovery of their loved one’s. But instead of their recovery family members of the victims received their bullet riddled bodies.
SUGGESTED ACTION:
Please write to the authorities to conduct inquiries into the incidents of extra judicial killings of disappeared persons who were allegedly abducted by the law enforcement agencies and urge them to prosecute those responsible for the abduction and extra judicial killings.

I am writing to voice my deep concern regarding the extra judicial killings of six disappeared persons who were abducted from Balochistan province by intelligence agencies in the year 2010 and 2011.
I am appalled to know that the persons who were allegedly disappeared by the law enforcement agencies were killed extra judicially so that no evidence should be found for their abduction and disappearance.

I urge that extra judicial killings of the disappeared persons should be stopped. Those who are involve in any crime or any anti state activities should be produced before the court of law and should be punished according to the law instead of killing and keeping them in torture cells. Those who are involved in extra judicial killing of the people should be prosecuted.
