PAKISTAN: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz-Areesar appeals for the safe recovery of disappeared persons from Sindh province
Introduction: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (Areesar) or JSQM (A) is a Sindhi Nationalist, Secular Political Party which follows the Ideology floated by the Founder of Sindhi Nationalism and Jeay Sindh Movement rahber-e-sindh sain G.M Syed. JSQM (A) believes in non-violance and adopts the peaceful ways of struggle.
PRESENT CRACKDOWN AGAINST JSQM (A)
Without making any announcement the law enforcement agencies had launched an operation against JSQM (A) and arrested many workers and leaders of Party who are still missing, the details are as follows:
1. Suhbat Khoso: JSQM (A) worker Suhbat Khoso arrested on 17 March, 2011 from Ranipur Toll Plaza District Khairpur Mirs and still missing. The petition has been filed by his brother Qabil Khoso in Sindh High Court Karachi.
2. Bux Ali Mugheri: JSQM (A) District Qamber Shahdadkot President was arrested on 3rd March, 2017 from his native City of Nasirabad and still missing.***
3. Aijaz Tunio: Worker of JSQM (A) District Qamber Shahdadkot was arrested on 17th April 2017 from his home at Nasirabad and he is still missing. ***
4. Hidayat Lohar: Senior Citizen and Supporter of JSQM (A) and Head Master of Government Boys Primary School Golo Ganwas were arrested from his duty on 17th April 2017 and still missing. His daughter Mst: Sorath Lohar had filed the petition in High Court Bench Larkana.
5. Khadim Hussain Areejo: Senior Citizen and supporter of JSQM (A) and an employee of Sindh Government Food Department was arrested form Hyderabad on 17th April 2017 when he was going to his office along with his nephew Shayan Areejo. After Three days Shayan Areejo was released but Khadim Hussain Arrejo is still missing. His daughter Mst: Neelam Areejo had filed the petition in High Court Hyderabad.
6. Sabir Hussain Chandio: Member of Central Committee of JSQM (A) Mr. Sabir Hussain Chandio was arrested on 25th April, 2017 along with his cousin Ibrahim Chandio Near Khairpur Nathan Shah District Dadu they were coming to Sann to attend the Anniversary of Sain G.M Syed in their Mehran Car. After 49 Days Ibrahim Chandio was released but Sabir Hussain Chandio is still Missing along with his Mehran Car. The mother of Sabir Hussain Chandio Fatima Chandio had filed petition in Larkana High Court.
7. Muhammad Ayoub Kandhro: Senior Citizen, Supporter of JSQM (A) and employee of Public Health Department Government of Sindh was arrested on 27th April 2017 near Tando Masti District Khairpur Mirs when he was going to his office at Ranipur in his Car, Ayoub Kandhro is still missing along with his corolla Car, His brother had filed petition in Sukkur High Court Bench.
8. Murtaza Junejo: Worker of JSQM (A) Murtaza Junejo was arrested on 7th May 2017 from his home at the village of Mandhra Taluka Dokri District Larkana and is still missing. His wife had filed the petition in Larkana High Court Bench.
9. Ghulam Raza Jarwar: Writer, Poet and Supporter of JSQM (A) and Vaccinator in Health department of Government of Sindh was arrested on 24th May 2017, from his home at Amanabad District Badin. He is still missing, his wife had filed the petition in High Court Bench Hyderabad.
10. Shadi Khan Soomro: Member of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (A) and a primary School Teacher in Education Department of Government of Sindh was arrested on 24th May, 2017 from his home at village Ghanghro District Badin. He is still missing. ***
11. Ali Ahmed Bughio: Supporter of JSQM (A) was arrested on 24th May 2017, from his home in Badin City and is still missing. ***
12. Aziz Gurgaiz: Supporter of JSQM (A) belongs to Qadiyani Sect was arrested on 24th May 2017 from his home in City of Badin and is still missing. ***
13. Insaf Dayo: Member of JSQM (A) District Larkana, was arrested on 29th May 2017 from his tailor Shop in Larkana and is still missing. ***
14. Mukhtiar Almani: Worker of JSQM (A) and a mason by profession was arrested on 1st June 2017 from City of Dokri District Larkana and still missing. ***
15. Pathan Khan Zuhrani (PK Zuhrani): Divisional Co-Ordinator of Karachi Division JSQM (A) was arrested from his home at Shah Town Pipri District Malir on 10th July 2017 and he is still missing. ***
16. Muhammad Khan Vighio: Worker of JSQM (A) was arrested from his village Sehar Station District Larkana on 14th July 2017 and he is still missing. ****
17. Mehran Chandio: Supporter of JSQM (A) was arrested on 11th July 2017 from his village Gul Muhammad Chandio District Dadu and he is still missing. ****
18. Shabir Buledi (Irfan Azad): Human Rights activist and supporter of JSQM (A) was arrested on 15 July 2017 from his home Korangi Karachi, during the peaceful long march protest in support of missing workers. He is still missing. ****
NOTE: (****) reflects that the relatives of these missing persons are threatened not to file the petition.
BRIEF HISTORY:
The Leaders and workers of JSQM (A) were arrested by the Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan Government on various times and were made enforced disappeared.
19. The founder Leader of JSQM (A) Mr. Abdul Wahid Areesar was arrested in 1991 and he was kept disappeared for five and half months and then released.
20. The Present Chairman of JSQM (A) Mr. Dr. Meer Alam Mari was arrested and missing for 5 days on the 5th of March, 2011 and released.
21. The Workers of JSQM (A) Ikhtiyar Chandio, Qabil Khoso and Suhbat Khoso were arrested and missing for three months in 2011 then Qabil Khoso was released, Ikhtiyar Chandio was presented in the Court with the charge sheet of false cases of Blasting and released by the Court on Bail. While Suhbat Khoso is still missing since last Six Years.
22. JSQM (A) worker, Ismail Naz Notkani was arrested twicely on different times and was missing for six months then released by the Court. He belong the City of Golarchi, District Badin.
23. JSQM (A) worker, Shoukat Sanbhal was arrested and missing for two months in 2007, and then released from Karachi.
We appeal to the United Nations, all Human Rights Organizations and Justice and Peace loving Organizations and persons to raise the Voice against the atrocities made by Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan for the safest and earliest recovery of the peaceful workers and supporters of JSQM (A).
We also made it clear that, if there is any charge sheet against the persons mentioned above, they should be produced before the Court of Law and the missing persons shall be given a right to defend themselves.
We stand that the arrestation and missing of JSQM (A) workers and supporter is a severe violation of International Charter of Human Rights, therefore the International should take a serious notice of these violations.
