Pakistan’s first political party is PPP, which has governed country, first time, continuously for last five years. What nation got in continuous rule of a vibrant political party? Nothing. We have jumped in list of more corrupt and insecure nations of the world. Here in our country only those are safe who are murderous, plunders and more and more corrupt. General masses are only “queuing Up for everything” from Roti to CNG.
In last five years of PPP government, people have learned one thing how to queue up for getting things done. I dont understand now whom PPP will blame in next election campaign? In every election campaign PPP blamed on incomplete government tenure, but now this time they have got complete tenure. In PPP’s complete government tenure nation has became more insecure then its last incomplete government tenures. Only difference between incomplete and complete tenure is that PPP ministers and their cronies have got more funds, more corrupted, not only they but their friends, relatives and workers.
What will happen if they get five more years? Transparency International in its last week report ranked Pakistan 32nd among most corrupt nations of the world. In last five years Pakistan has jumped many steps further in corruption. We are completely insecure and corrupt to the core nation in the eyes of the Globe. Who is responsible for this? Our corrupt to the core political leaders and their policies are responsible for this whole mess. Our politicians have no respect of the court’s orders? Lines at CNG stations and closure of stations since courts order about reduced prices shows that how much our government respect court’s orders. How much government is respecting these orders? CNG verdict is the best example. CNG stations owners have closed their stations and general masses are suffering. Government has last its writ.
Last day PPP pardoned all those politicians who were involved in 1990 election fraud (Asghar Khan case verdict). When political rival, PML-N is friendly with the government then what we expect from next general elections? All same old faces will emerge again. Democracy must continue but at what cost? Will 70% illiterate nation understand about corruption of leaders in political parties. How much nation is aware about increasing insecurity and corruption?
God knows better but question arise that “Is this form of democracy in most illiterate society is beneficial?” Certainly No. We all knows that voters have power to decide and democracy runs through power of voting, but is voting only answer for five years long governing term?
Voter’s conscience has been hijacked due to insecurity and other crisis of daily lives. No roti (Food), No kapra (Clothing) and No makan (Housing). Since 1970 PPP is banking on this famous slogan but still have not achieved a single percent target. Poverty is increasing day by day and 70% Pakistanis are under poverty trap, people have no clothes to wear (no proper purchasing power) and place for decent living is still a dream. Pakistanis will never achieve anything decent under these type of only slogan mongering parties! These two big parties have make us a “laughing stock nation” all around the world. Only proper education of voters will support this unfortunate nation. Media can play a proper role of Voters Education. People’s choice is only media. I hope media will make a difference. Media must come forward and show real face of two big parties, before election. If not then same faces, same parties will reemerge and we, as nation, will lose another term of five years.
