(Hong Kong, November 21, 2013) In her second poem, Myrna Reblando explains what inspires her to continue in her demand for justice on behalf of her husband, Alejandro “Bong” Reblando, and the other victims.
Myrna said: “This second poem is all about what we are fighting for. Not only for me, for my husband and for our family, but for all the families who have been hurt by the Maguindanao massacre tragedy”.
“This poem shows our emotion. It shows how difficult and how hard it has been when people ridicule or deceive you. But despite all this (she said, referring to herself), your inner strength remains strong and you still want to continue the fight,” she said.
Myrna went on to say, “To stand on your ground in hoping someday you will achieve what you wanted, and to be victorious. This is it”: (click here to watch the video):
You and Me against the world
By Myrna P. Reblando
I
You and me against the world
Is an intense deep emotions
Inside my inner feelings
And my heart desires
Still, I do hope
Sweet victory
Will be ours in the end.
II
A true passion
A strong conviction,
For you and me, will promote
A good example
And an eye opener to all
Without any doubt
III
From the very start
Numerous circumstances contributes
In between the two of us but,
Perseverance; in spite of
Certain crushing difficulty
IV
No white lies, no honest mistakes
No contradictions, no degrading
But we stand for the truth
Not be proud of, but humble ourselves
Is the only weapon we have
V
Even though it’s not going too well
As of this moment,
But there’s a big possibility
To achieve a feat and to win
A great professional VICTORY!
